Six weeks after his death, the son of reality TV star Anna Nicole Smith was buried Thursday in the Bahamas, the Associated Press reported. Daniel Smith, 20, died mysteriously Sept. 10 while visiting his mother in the hospital where she had given birth to a daughter. A gold-colored hearse brought his body to the cemetery, followed by three white limousines. The mahogany casket was whisked inside a large green tent for the service. Wailing and screaming was heard from inside the tent at Lakeview Memorial Gardens & Mausoleums in Nassau. At least six police officers guarded the main entrance to the cemetery, barring everyone except invited guests. Entertainment Tonight reported that his grieving mother was wearing a black dress and veil specially made for the occasion by close friend Pol Atteu, the Beverly Hills designer who also made her dress for her commitment ceremony to her lawyer, Howard K. Stern, after Daniel died.

Fashion's new bad boy

Fans of Project Runway already know that bad boy Jeffrey Sebelia won the popular reality series in Wednesday's finale. For those not familiar with the 36-year-old's story, here it is: In and out of drug rehabs since 17, Sebelia hit bottom in 2001, when his habit left him suicidal. "I was hooking up my belt to this chandelier in my room, crying uncontrollably," he told People of his attempt to hang himself. But his roommate came home early and persuaded him to seek help. After a year of sobriety, Sebelia started taking classes at a trade school to learn design. "As soon as I started sewing," he says, "I realized I was meant to do it." Today he has a label, Cosa Nostra, which is popular with a crowd that includes Gwen Stefani, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and actor Billy Bob Thornton, and he has a 21-month-old son, Harrison Detroit (whose name is tattooed across Sebelia's neck), with girlfriend Melanie Vesey.

NBC cuts the cross

If you wanted to tune into that Madonna special on NBC on Nov. 22 to see what all the fuss with the crucifixion scene was about, don't bother. Reuters reported Thursday that NBC is editing out Live to Tell, the song in which the Malawi-loving Material Girl performed while on a cross. The segment in her Confessions concert had upset several family and religious groups, including the American Family Association. The group even threatened to have its members boycott companies that ran commercials during the show. NBC offered no explanation about why it was dropping the song from the special, which was filmed this summer.

More to him than being gay

Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight says he's gay but hopes people don't consider that "the most interesting part of me." The 33-year-old actor, who plays George O'Malley, issued a statement to People magazine Thursday that said though he preferred to keep his personal life personal, he wanted to "quiet any unnecessary rumors that may be out there" about his sexuality.
