LUTZ - If safety lessons aren't enough to get you to the Hillsborough Sheriff's Eighth Annual Bike Rodeo, maybe free bikes and helmets will work.

The Sheriff's Office will give away 12 girl's bikes and 12 boy's bikes during the event, which runs Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon at Mort Elementary, 1806 E. Bearss Ave. in Lutz.

Kids who participate in a free bike safety course will receive free bicycle helmets.
