Bradenton Prep leaves no doubt

VERO BEACH - Bradenton Prep has five girls who fulfill their scholastic requirements around schedules custom-made to reach their potential in golf. And when they're on, everybody else is playing for second. With all the subtlety of a cement truck, Bradenton Prep won the Class A tournament with a 300-285-585. Northside Christian, which won the team title two years ago and was fourth last year, shot 347-342-689 to finish tied for 10th. "I call Bradenton Prep the all world team," Mustangs coach D.J. Jackson said. "They were 3 under par as a team (Wednesday). That's incredible." Northside did well with its top players - Morgan Jackson (80-78-158), Ryan Ashburn (80-79-159) and A.J. Newell (81-83-164). "The girls were all fairly consistent," Jackson said. "We just couldn't make it to the top. But this is our fifth straight year of going to the state tournament, and that's a nice accomplishment."
