MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Kevin Harvick, already the series champion, raced to his eighth NASCAR Busch Series win of the year Saturday, outdueling Carl Edwards in the final two laps in the caution-filled Sam's Town 250 at Memphis Motorsports Park.

But most of the focus was on former Formula One driver Juan Pablo Montoya's NASCAR debut. The Colombian finished 11th.

Montoya was nowhere near the action after an accident midway through his first NASCAR event. But no one expected him to win his first race, and his Chip Ganassi Racing team was thrilled with the learning effort.

"It was pretty wild, to be honest," he said. "I learned today you have to pace yourself."

Montoya qualified ninth and spent the first 148 laps in the top 10.

Trucks: Mike Bliss grabbed the lead on a restart 10 laps from the end Saturday at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Ga., and held off Terry Cook for his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victory in four years.

iroc: Martin Truex and Ryan Newman put on a show in the waning laps of the International Race of Champions season finale in Hampton, Ga., swapping the lead over and over before Truex gained control on the last lap to win. Tony Stewart finished third to clinch his first IROC title and the $1-million payoff from the series sponsor.

nhra: Doug Kalitta claimed his third Budweiser Shootout in the ACDelco Las Vegas Nationals. Tony Schumacher (Top Fuel), Robert Hight (Funny Car), Jason Line (Pro Stock), and Shawn Gann (Pro Stock Motorcycle), earned top qualifier honors.
