Meet cutie pumpkin pies, superdrooler

Six-month-old twins Kacie Lynn and Kevin Joseph Kopech are disguised as pumpkins to celebrate their first Halloween in Oldsmar. This was a special holiday because they arrived prematurely at 29 weeks and weighed just over 2 pounds at birth. But by Tuesday they were healthy and happy 15-pound trick- or-treaters, says dad Kevin Kopech.

Three-month-old Owen McCabe of Oldsmar was a superdrooler for Halloween, says Claudia McCabe.

County rations reclaimed water

The combination of virtually no rain in October and increased customer demand is forcing Pinellas County to reduce the amount of reclaimed water available to 2,600 North Pinellas customers. Starting Friday , north county customers will have reclaimed water three days a week. Customers south of Alderman Road and west of U.S. 19 N will have reclaimed water Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. All other north county customers will have reclaimed water available on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The system will be down on Mondays for maintenance and pond recovery. County utilities officials say this strategy of providing reclaimed water on alternating days of the week to two designated zones will help them restore their storage ponds to normal levels. But if pond levels fall to a critical point, the system may be shut down, they said. Officials ask customers to reduce their lawn irrigation to a minimal amount until Friday. For more details, call the reclaimed water hotline at (727) 464-4273 or visit www.pinellascounty.org/utilities.
