East Carolina turns back UCF rally in final minutes

ORLANDO - Brandon Fractious rushed for a career-high 128 yards and one touchdown, and cornerback Kasey Ross returned an interception 51 yards for a touchdown in the final minute to seal a 23-10 victory for East Carolina over UCF on Saturday.
Robert Lee added three field goals for East Carolina, which was clinging to a 16-10 lead when Ross stepped in front of a Kyle Israel pass and took it down the sideline untouched.
UCF dropped its fourth straight game.
Fractious had a career-high 23 carries as East Carolina controlled much of the action, but struggled to put UCF away. Lee missed two field goals and Pirates quarterback James Pinkney hit only 16-of-30 passing for 135 yards and two interceptions.
Golden Knights running back Kevin Smith was limited to 50 yards rushing on 18 carries, ending a string of four straight Conference USA games in which he had gone over 100 yards rushing.
FAMU 45, N.C. A&T 12: Albert Chester II threw three touchdowns and ran for one score as Florida A&M won easily in Greensboro. Chester went 21-for-25 passing for 186 yards and rushed for 75 yards as the Rattlers built a 38-12 lead in three quarters. FAMU's Deitric Henry rushed 14 times for 103 yards.
San Diego 38, Jacksonville 21: Josh Johnson tossed four first-half touchdowns and finished with a career-best 384 yards passing to lead San Diego past host Jacksonville. Dolphins running back Jerry Brant rushed for 161 yards on nine carries in the first quarter, including 80-yard and 59-yard TD runs. But San Diego held Brant to 49 yards in 15 attempts in the final three quarters.
Middle Tenn. 35, FAU 14: Eugene Gross rushed for a career-high 208 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead host Middle Tennessee in Murfreesboro.
TCU 25, UNLV 10: Quarterback Jeff Ballard threw for 195 yards and ran for 84 to lead TCU in Las Vegas. Ballard was 15-for-28 with a touchdown pass, he did not throw an interception and carried the ball 14 times.
W. Michigan 27, Miami (Ohio) 24: Nate Meyer kicked a 21-yard field goal with 1:16 left to cap an 18-play, 84-yard drive as host Western Michigan won in Kalamazoo. Western Michigan's Mark Bonds rushed for a career-high 142 yards on 28 carries. Miami's Ryne Robinson had 180 receiving yards, giving him 1,001 yards for the season.
Houston 27, Tulsa 10: Anthony Aldridge rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown as host Houston ended Tulsa's six-game winning streak. Houston scored on consecutive drives at the end of the first half and the start of the second to win its third straight.
Wyoming 27, San Diego St. 24: Joseph Harris scored two touchdowns and Devin Moore rushed for 131 yards to lead host Wyoming in Laramie.
