Hear or tell a tall tale or two at 'Tellabaration'

In the mood for a colorful yarn or two? If storytelling is your thing, or you enjoy listening to tall tales, plan to attend the annual "Tellabration" storytelling event set Nov. 18 at the Pinellas Park Public Library, 7770 52nd St. N.

The annual event is sponsored by the Tampa Bay Storytellers Guild, Friends of the Pinellas Park Public Library, and the National Storytelling Network.

Event organizer Billie Noakes said this is the 11th year for Tellabration, which has grown in attendance each year.

Seasoned storytellers and youth tellers will perform and sign language interpreters will be on hand to provide interpretation of all of the tales. The public is invited to attend and participate.

A Veterans Day observance featuring music, color guard and multimedia presentations will be held Friday. Pinellas Park Mayor William F. Mischler will be the keynote speaker.

The annual Holiday in the Park Winter Festival is looking for crafters, vendors and sponsors to sign up now for its fourth annual festival.

The community event will celebrate the winter holidays with hayrides, children's games, pictures with Santa, a candy cane factory, entertainment and more.

Proceeds support local charities, including Public Service Education Foundation of Pinellas Park Inc., People Helping People, Pinellas Park Police Explorers, and the Pinellas Park Police Volunteers.

The Kenneth City Women's Club is seeking new members.
