Location: Main entrance at Big Bend Road and Covington Garden Drive, Apollo Beach.

Developer: Newland Communities

Description: 394-acre development with 1,108 single-family homes and 172 villas. Square footages range from 1,170 to 3,500. Floor plans range from two bedrooms with two bathrooms to six bedrooms with five bathrooms.

Price: $215,000 to $450,000

Amenities: Three community pools; 2-acre Stone Garden Park with chiming clock tower; tennis, baseball, volleyball and basketball facilities; walking trails; clubhouse with resident services office; multipurpose room and exercise facility; children's play areas; more than 30 man-made lakes.

What they're saying: Newland marketing manager Carrie Fischer said Covington Park even has its own intranet, www.covington corner.com. "It's a private network for all our residents to log onto for chat groups, a calendar of events, you can find a babysitter, or download deed restrictions."

Timeline: Construction started in 1999. Sites for 44 villas and six single-family homes remain, according to Fischer. The clubhouse is scheduled to start in 30 days and finish in spring 2007.

Move-in date: First residents arrived in 2000.

For information: Call Newland Communities' Carrie Fischer at 813 620-3555, or visit www.covingtonpark.com.
