Watching the shows go on

Murders and thoughts of marital infidelity are taking place at community theaters.

All three community theaters are offering productions this weekend.

- The Seven Year Itch continues at Playhouse 19, 865 U.S. 19, Crystal River. It's directed by Lisa Ehlers and features Frank Hanshaw, Mary Broussard, David Easter, Iris Rose, Tom Venable, Chris Venable, Sharon Vetter and Jeff Collum.

The play runs Thursdays through Sundays through Nov. 26. Thursday performances start at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8, and Sunday at 2. Tickets at the box office are $15. Call 563-1333.

- The comedy-murder spoof Good Help is So Hard to Murder continues this weekend at the West Citrus Community Center, 8940 W Veterans Drive, off U.S. 19 in Homosassa Springs.

This is the closing weekend of the show, which marks the 30th anniversary for Gulf Islands Civic Theatre. Tonight and Saturday's shows start at 7:30 p.m., Sunday at 2:30. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Coffee, soft drinks and snacks are available. For tickets, call 527-9061.

- No Way To Treat a Lady also has its final performances this weekend at the Art Center Theatre, 2644 N Annapolis Ave., Citrus Hills. Show times are 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $18 at the box office, open 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Call 746-7606.

Here's what's playing at community theaters in Hernando and Pasco counties.

- Mame, matinees and evenings through Nov. 18 at the Show Palace Dinner Theatre, 16128 U.S. 19, Hudson. Dinner and show, $42.50; show only, $29.95, plus tax and tip. Call 863-7949 in west Pasco; toll-free elsewhere, 1-888-655-7469.

- Guys and Dolls, weekends through Nov. 19 at Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. Tickets are $18. Box office is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and an hour before each show. Call 727 683-5113.

- Fiddler on the Roof, weekends through Nov. 19 at Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 342 Pine St., Tarpon Springs. Shows are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $16; center members or students, $14, reserved seating. Call (727) 942-5605.
