Saddle up, it's rodeo time

The Citrus Stampede Rodeo continues tonight at the livestock arena at the Citrus County fairgrounds in Inverness. The rodeo features professional cowboys and cowgirls in all major events, from barrel racing to bull riding. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the rodeo begins at 7:30. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children at the gates. The livestock arena and fairgrounds are 1 mile south of Inverness on U.S. 41. Free parking. Here are some other entertainment options. - The University of Florida Concert Choir performs at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High School. The program features traditional Christmas songs and a mix of classical performed by the 140-voice choir. Presented by the Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church. Admission and parking are free. - The Seven Year Itch continues at Playhouse 19, 865 U.S. 19, Crystal River. The play runs Thursdays through Sundays through Nov. 26. Thursday performances start at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8, and Sunday at 2. Tickets at the box office are $15. Call 563-1333. - The Winter Wonderland Craft Show will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Crystal River National Guard Armory, U.S. 19 and Venable Street. Bring unwrapped new toys for area children's toy drives. Free admission and parking, raffles. - A Show Palace Christmas has matinees and evening performances through Dec. 25 at Show Palace Dinner Theatre, 16128 U.S. 19, Crystal River.
