Authorities have arrested a St. Petersburg man on charges he sold pipe bombs to undercover agents. Anthony G. Moore, 40, was arrested this week on a federal firearms violation charge. During a three-week investigation, an undercover agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms bought eight pipe bombs from Moore in exchange for cash and a handgun. Moore was held Friday without bail. He could get up to 10 years in prison for each device. Tampa man jailed in October slaying Wayne "Man" Williams, 23, and Ivon Warren, 24, share the same birthday: Dec. 8. They are also linked by another day: Oct. 21. That's when Tampa police say Williams fired five shots at Warren, fatally hitting him in the head, after an argument in the 1300 block of W Union Street. Warren died after he was rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital. The U.S. Marshal's Service and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrested Williams Thursday at an apartment at 1250 Skipper Road and charged him with second-degree murder with a firearm. He was held without bail. Homeland Security ex-aide sentenced A former Homeland Security press aide was sentenced to five years in prison Friday for sexually preying on a Polk County sheriff's detective posing as a 14-year-old girl on the Internet. Brian J. Doyle, 56, who resigned shortly after his April 4 arrest, also must serve 10 years' probation and register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. Doyle pleaded no contest in September to seven counts of using a computer to seduce a child and 16 counts of transmitting harmful material to a minor. Prosecutors said Doyle, of Silver Spring, Md., wrote graphic descriptions of sexual acts in online chats with "Ashlynne," who was actually an undercover detective. "I am profoundly sorry for everything," Doyle told Circuit Judge J. Dale Durrance. "How I feel inside can't be described."
