Come break bread for Thanksgiving

Several Thanksgiving Day dinners are planned across the county. Bring your appetite and enjoy the company of others. The list also includes a food giveaway for those who qualify.

- Inverness Elks Lodge 2522 will offer seatings for its Thanksgiving dinner at 2 and 4 p.m. Thursday at 3580 E Lemon Drive, Hernando. Tickets are $10; reservation deadline is Monday. Call 726-2027.

- New Beginnings Fellowship will host a free community Thanksgiving meal from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church, 2577 N Florida Ave., Hernando. If you are a shut-in or do not have transportation, call 613-1162.

- Unity Church of Citrus County will host its annual Thanksgiving celebration dinner at 1 p.m. Thursday at 2628 W Woodview Lane, Beverly Hills. All are welcome. Call to sign up and bring a dish to complement the traditional turkey, which will be provided by the activities team. Call 746-1270.

-The Vineyard Christian Fellowship will offer a free lunch at noon Thursday at 960 S U.S. 41, Inverness. Call 726-1480 or visit www.invernessvineyard.com.

-Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Christian Kitchen will serve its next meal to those in need of companionship at noon Thursday at 6 Roosevelt Blvd., Beverly Hills. Doors open at 11:45 a.m. Food is prepared based on the number of reservations. There is no charge. Donations are accepted. Call 746-2144.

St. Margaret's Episcopal Church will have a community Thanksgiving dinner at noon Thursday at 114 N Osceola Ave., Inverness.

St. Anne's Episcopal Church will offer a Thanksgiving dinner for those in need from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Saturday at 9870 W Fort Island Trail, Crystal River.
