Closings for Thanksgiving announced

The following is a list of closings for Pinellas County on Thursday and Friday. Government Federal offices: Closed Thursday. State and county offices: Closed Thursday and Friday. City offices: Closed Thursday and Friday. Post offices: Closed Thursday. Transportation PSTA and DART: Holiday schedule Thursday. Public services Banks: Closed Thursday. Courts: Not in session Thursday and Friday. Schools: Closed through Friday. Libraries: Closed Thursday and Friday. The Oldsmar Library also will close early (at 5 p.m.) Wednesday and will be closed Saturday. Society reissues Audubon classic In celebration of the National Audubon Society's 100th anniversary, a limited edition of John James Audubon's The Birds of America has been reproduced in an Audubon Centennial Edition. The show continues through Dec. 1 at Syd Entel Galleries, 247 Main St. Gallery hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Call (727) 725-1808. Learn to cook with herbs Sit in on an herbal cooking demonstration by Chris Deeds of the Florida Herb Society at 6:30 p.m. today at the Clearwater Main Library, 100 N Osceola Ave. The meeting will also feature herbal swaps, refreshments and membership applications. There's still time to register for Thursday's St. Petersburg Times Turkey Trot. The trot has events for runners and walkers of different skill levels. There's a 5K Wingding race that starts at 7:30 a.m., a 1-mile Gobbler that begins at 8:30 a.m. and a 10K Turkey Trot that starts at 8:45 a.m. All events begin on Keene Road, just south of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. Though online and mail-in registration has closed, you can still register at a kickoff party Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Jack White Stadium at Clearwater High School, 540 S.
