SUN CITY CENTER
Workshop to offer tips on old medication
Don't throw those expired medications in the trash - dogs might eat them. Don't flush them - our wastewater treatment plants aren't prepared. Above all, don't keep them in your medicine cabinet - unscrupulous contractors might steal and sell them to drug addicts.
It's all part of a constellation of advice in Operation Medicine Cabinet, a half-day workshop Dec. 5. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is sponsoring the free program. Scheduled speakers include Ahmad Albustami, pharmacy director at South Bay Hospital, wastewater supervisor Don Huntzinger and Dr. Burhaan Ahmad, an internal medicine specialist.
The program runs from 8 a.m. to noon at the Sun City Center Community Hall, 1910 Pebble Beach Blvd. Call 633-2875.
