SANTA KEEPS ON COMING TO TOWN THIS SATURDAY

St. Nick does double-duty in parades Saturday: He's the star of the Santa Parade in downtown St. Petersburg, which begins at 10 a.m., followed by Snowfest in North Straub Park on the waterfront. Then, the Jolly Ol' Elf crosses the bay for Santa Fest from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Ybor City, followed at 4 p.m. by the Krewe of Venus Holiday Parade through Ybor. The Big Thing is also the hot thing

Memories of Christmas on film

Tampa Theatre kicks off its Winter Classic Movie Series on Sunday with the 1947 Miracle on 34th Street at 3 p.m. The theater is at 711 Franklin St. $7.50.
