Division of county clerk to relocate

The Recording Division of the Hernando County Clerk of the Circuit Court's Office is moving out of the courthouse after today. The office in Room 215 at the Hernando County Government Center will close at 4 p.m. today. It will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday at its new location, just north of the government center, at 161 E Jefferson St. The division handles such items as the recording of property deeds, marriage licenses and passports. Updated information will be posted on the clerk's Web site at www.clerk.co.hernando.fl.us (click on "View Official Notices," then select "Recording Division-Relocation"). Call the office at 540-6768.

Toys? Put them by the mailbox

Residents are reminded that U.S. Postal Service carriers will collect new, unwrapped toys Saturday for the Toys for Tots program in Hernando County. Toys may be left in bags or boxes by mailboxes. The Toys for Tots program is being coordinated locally by Marine Corps League Detachment 708. For information, call 597-7979.
