Elvis ushers in new year at yacht club

HERNANDO BEACH

Hernando Beach Yacht Club will host a New Year's Eve celebration Dec. 31 at the club, 4163 Shoal Line Blvd.

The celebration will include a prime rib dinner, dancing and a special show with "Elvis," starring Bill Lindsey.

Tickets are $35 and include dinner, dancing, entertainment, the Elvis show, a champagne toast and favors. A cash bar will be available.

BROOKSVILLE

Open bar starts semiformal party

Brooksville Elks Lodge 2582 will host a semiformal New Year's celebration Dec. 31 at the lodge, 14494 Cortez Blvd.

An open bar will start at 6 p.m. Hors d'oeuvres will be served from 6 to 7 p.m. The dinner of prime rib or chicken will be served at 8 p.m. A midnight champagne toast is followed with sweet rolls and coffee.

Southern Exposure will provide dance music, starting at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $45 per person. Reservations are required by Dec. 22. Specially priced tickets will be offered after 10 p.m. to up to 50 people for dancing and drinks only (no dinner). For information, call 596-2582.
