Main Street Holidays Today-Sunday and Dec. 9

The River Lights Boat Parade and the Holiday Rotary Club Street Parade will highlight Main Street Holidays in downtown New Port Richey. There will be a Shop 'n stroll of downtown shops until 8:30 p.m. today and 7 p.m. Saturday. On Saturday, there will be visits with Santa from noon to 3 p.m. in Sims Park and the River Lights Boat Parade at 6:30 p.m. from Moonlight Bay to Sims Park, followed by a performance by Expressions, the Dance Company in the amphitheater. On Saturday and Sunday, there will be Miss Daisy Boat Tours on the Cotee River ($5), food vendors and a Holiday Arts and Crafts Village from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and children's arts and crafts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Sunday, children and parents may join Santa and Mrs. Claus for breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. ($3 for pancakes, sausage and juice; gifts for the first 100 children) in the park. Genesis School will perform "Christmas Around the World" at 3:30 p.m. On Dec. 9, the Holiday Rotary Club Street Parade will be at 7 p.m.

Poetry Jam Today

Pasco-Hernando Community College will hold Celebration of Poetry from 7 to 9 p.m. at the north campus, 11415 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Brooksville, in room A-139. Spectacular Vegas Show Today

Progress Energy Art Gallery Today
