Man accused of sex with 13-year-old girl

Authorities say he had relations with her in the summer.

INVERNESS - Sheriff's detectives have arrested a 19-year-old man who they suspect had sex with a 13-year-old girl.

Russell Corey Housman, of 219 Adelphi St., was accused of having sexual relations with the girl in August and September, according to the arrest report.

Housman was arrested Monday morning and was charged with one count of committing a lewd and lascivious act in the presence of a child younger than 16. He was being held at the Citrus County jail without bail.

- A Crystal River woman was arrested on driving under the influence charges after deputies investigated a crash Saturday on N Crede Avenue.

When deputies arrived, Andrea Addison, 29, of 2850 N Crede Ave. Lot 29, was in the back seat of a wrecked car. She told deputies that she did not know who was driving, a report says. After a while, the car's owner arrived and told deputies that he had seen Addison drive away in the car, the report says.

After failing a DUI test, Addison was charged with two counts of DUI with injuries or property damage and one count of DUI.

When she arrived at the jail, Addison was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer after authorities said she spit and kicked a corrections officer who was trying to handcuff her. Total bail on all charges was $17,500.

- James Kenyon, 17, of 2850 N Crede Ave. Lot 36, Crystal River, one of the teens injured in Friday's truck crash in Crystal River, remained in critical condition Monday at Tampa General Hospital.

A second teen, Robert Williams, 15, of 472 Elmwood Point, was upgraded to fair condition at Tampa General.

Both teens were riding in the back of a pickup and were ejected when it collided with another truck. The investigation was continuing, said Crystal River police Chief Steven Burch.

- Sheriff's detectives were investigating a report of sexual battery involving a 10-year-old girl, a sheriff's spokeswoman said. The girl's family contacted the Sheriff's Office on Sunday alleging that a male teenager, known to the victim, sexually molested her during the past two months, said sheriff's spokeswoman Gail Tierney.

No arrests have been made, and the suspect has not been interviewed, Tierney said.
