Daily fishing report
Most boaters should stay off the water until conditions improve.

What's happening: Buoys from around the state reported double digit wave heights Friday, with northeast winds topping 25 to 31 knots. Exposed bays this weekend will be choppy. Last weekend, divers caught a weather break. But south of Clearwater they crashed into the bottom before seeing it. Surprisingly good visibility, around 30-feet, was found in the shallow waters of north Pinellas and Pasco counties. Tactics: Staying off the water until early in the week, when winds become easterly, would be wise. Hypothermia becomes a real danger this time of year.
