Real estate: Moss Landing

Location: Off Balm-Riverview Road south of Boyette Road, Riverview.

Developer: KB Home, Tampa.

Description: 310 single-family homes, some with two stories. Square footage will range from 1,500 to 3,600. Floor plans will include three bedrooms and two bathrooms and four bedrooms with 21/2 or three bathrooms.

Price: Low $200,000s to the mid $300,000s.

Architect: Designed by KB Home architects.

Amenities: Available features include hardwood floors; granite counters in kitchens and bathrooms; high ceilings; wiring for security system and high-speed Internet access; Roman tub and separate shower stall in bathrooms; covered lanais; pool area with cabana; and children's playground.

What they're saying: "Moss Landing is for first-time home buyers or move-up buyers," said KB Home spokeswoman Cara Kane. "It's one of the most affordable homes in the area for that type of home buyer. The community also provides a quiet natural setting with large oak trees and nature preserves."

Timeline: Construction started in mid October. Sales will start in January 2007, when the first model homes are expected to be complete.
