Three dead in murder-suicide

TITUSVILLE - A gunman fatally shot two men Thursday before killing himself in an apparent attempt to harm his ex-girlfriend, authorities said. Shawn Creamer, 35, broke into Great Outdoors RV Park and Golf Resort looking for his ex-girlfriend, Dario Grasso, Brevard County sheriff's deputies said. Security guard David Ryan Tripp, 26, tried to stop Creamer from entering the community at 2:30 a.m., but Creamer shot him and ran toward Grasso's house. Breaking in through a back door, Creamer confronted Grasso and David Earl Hinkle, 46, who was with her. The two men fought before Creamer fatally shot Hinkle. Creamer then walked outside and shot himself, deputies said. Grasso escaped though a window and was not hurt, sheriff's Cmdr. Jimmy Donn said. Deputies said Creamer had threatened to harm her after she tried to end the relationship. Grasso recently obtained a restraining order but it hadn't been served.

Shawn Creamer and I were best friends in Jr. High. I don't know where he lost his way but I wish he hadn't. At one time, he had a heart that would not have allowed him to commit a crime. My prayers to all involved...esp. the sec. guards family.
