Blog pulled over call to kill Muslims

A blogger was shut down late Thursday for telling readers, " ...we need to kill all Muslim kids. Starting now."

The Boca Raton-based Web host removed the blog from the Internet after complaints from the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said Ahmed Bedier, executive director of the group's Tampa chapter.

"It's frightening," Bedier said. "We were concerned about the safety of the kids in the area."

Vilmar Tavares, the Spring Hill author of the Right Wing Howler blog, did not return a call for comment Friday.

Bedier said he had been monitoring the site after a recent spate of anti-Muslim comments in Hernando County.

In late October, Mary Ann Hogan, a prominent local Republican and former state committeewoman, wrote a letter calling Islam a "hateful, frightening religion." State politicians condemned her remarks, and those of her husband, then-county Commissioner Tom Hogan Sr.

The new posting prompted Bedier on Tuesday to contact Host Gator Co., asking it to shut down the site. Bedier said Host Gator told him Thursday it had shuttered the site.

It would appear the constitution has been suspended by Gator Co. The so-called religion of peace is peaceful only if you agree with it. What further outrages will it take to galvanize Americans to realize this is a fight for cultural survival?

Bedlam is a more appropriate name for CAIR's doublespeak agent Bedler because he is an outright hypocrite and a liar. Hizb-al-Tirub at least is honest about their intentions, when is CAIR going to shed the sheepskin and reveal the canine wolf.

Personally, the entire Muslim population is not worth 1% the value of my family, if even that. Muslims can call for death to Americans but our politically correct disease states that we should not do the same? Let them keep pushing.....

It has never been ok for Muslims to call for death of anyone,not by Muslims or by America, that is a bunch lies. Advocating kill anyone espcially children should never be considered freedom of speech. How dare you Robert,Troy defend such evil.

America is a very literate country with access to a WEALTH of information on Islam from Muslim sources. There's just NO excuse to remain ignorant about Islam. Vilmar Tavares should take time to educate himself instead of spreading hatred.

While I support the First Amendment, it does not cover calls for murder, especially when people HAVE been murdered recently just for being Muslim or-- more to the point-- Middle Eastern. Blogger in question was using Storm Trooper tactics.

Muslims can speak of killing infidels and that is protected freedom of speech. A radical right wing nut can speak of killing muslims and that's not. Mr. Bedier just demonstrated the power and control the muslim community has in this country already.

Once again it is a case of double standards. It is ok for the muslims to call for the death of Americans and Jewish people but it is not OK for an amaerican to call for the death of Muslims. CAIR needs to police their own first. Do onto others...
