Shoot some hoops while school's out

The Hernando County Recreation Department will offer a holiday basketball clinic for kids 14 and younger. The clinic will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 2-5 in the gymnasium at Challenger K-8 School of Science and Mathematics, 13400 Elgin Blvd. The clinic is limited to the first 60 registrants. The cost is $60, plus a $10 registration fee. Extended care hours are available from 7:30 a.m. to 5:50 p.m. for an additional $10. A camp shirt is included. Participants should bring a lunch each day. For information, call 754-4031.
