The following recommendations were made at the zoning hearing master meetings on Dec. 18-19:

New Tampa: Zoning hearing master staffers have recommended approval of Cory Lake Isles developer Eugene Thomason's request to also allow specialty retail uses on a 7.88-acre site on Cross Creek Boulevard near Brookron Drive. The property is zoned for office uses and a child care facility. The staff is recommending that a maximum of 23,000 square feet of retail services be allowed, including a deli or coffee shop of up to 2,500 square feet. Petition 06-1688

Lutz: The staff supports a request to allow business and professional office uses on a 0.96-acre site at 19107 Geraci Road near the intersection with N Dale Mabry Highway. Property owners Peggy and Thomas Sauerwein are downsizing to a smaller home and would like to allow businesses to move in to their former residence. Building size cannot exceed 30,000 square feet. (Petition 07-0022)
