"Monsters of the Deep," a new MOSI exhibit opening Friday, features the skeletons and replicas of bizarre aquatic creatures of prehistoric times and some that bear a striking resemblance to their grandchildren still living today. At the same time, the IMAX theater will be showing director James Cameron's film Aliens of the Deep, about the incredible creatures living in the deepest depths of the ocean. And since the science center likes to get kids to make their own discoveries, interactive stations are included in the 15,000-square-foot exhibit space, including a dig site where children can search for fossils. The museum is at 4801 E Fowler Ave., Tampa. (813) 987-6100 or www.mosi.org. Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. $19.95 adults, $17.95 seniors and $15.95 ages 2 to 12. The museum is open Christmas Day.
