Location: Off Big Bend Road between Covington Garden Drive and U.S. 41, Apollo Beach

Developer: Newland Communities

Description: Thirteen-phase, 2,300-acre development that will eventually include up to 4,500 homes. The first phase will contain 192 homes from 1,800 to 4,000 square feet. Architectural styles will include colonial, South Carolina Low Country, Mediterranean revival, craftsman, folk Victorian and Florida Cracker.

Price: About the mid $300,000s to mid $600,000s.

Amenities: Options will include wood floors, granite counters in kitchens and bathrooms, stainless steel appliances, pools, lanais, media rooms and bathrooms with Roman tub and a separate shower. Community amenities for the first phase will include an event room, pavilion and fitness center. Later phases will bring a town center with shops, a community sports complex, and elementary and middle schools.

What they're saying: Referring to the variety of architectural styles, Newland Communities vice president Scott Jones said, "We wanted to stand out and be unique, especially in the suburban part of the county."

Timeline: Construction for the first phase will start in January and take about two years. Sales will start in the first quarter of 2008. Phase two should break ground in summer 2007.

Move-in date: Mid 2008.
