TAMPA - A woman burglarized her ex-boyfriend's home while he and his family attended his sister's funeral Sunday, said Hillsborough County sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter.

Lutz resident Dawn Marie Levi, 26, of 5712 N 12th Ave., was charged Thursday with burglary, third-degree grand theft, and misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief, carrying a concealed weapon, and drug possession involving methamphetamine residue.

Levi was being held Thursday night on $17,750 bail.

Carter said Levi learned about the funeral from her ex-boyfriend, Dustin Freeman, and went inside the house at 2908 N 66th St. while no one was home, taking a TV set, video games, a blood sugar monitor, an electric razor and a gold necklace, with a total value estimated at $3,400.

The family was mourning the unexpected death of Kristie Freeman, the 36-year-old mother of Christopher, 14, Daniel, 10, and Alexandra, 5, while their home was being robbed of children's toys and other things. Freeman died last week of a heart attack.

A neighbor told deputies she saw Levi and an unidentified man carrying the loot from the house - and that Levi waved.
