Cows, man attacked by pit bull packs

On Christmas afternoon in west Pasco County, some time between the ham and the apple pie, two packs of pit bullterriers went hunting for their own feast. The first pack mauled some cows about 4 p.m. on Nottingham Trail in Hudson, according to a sheriff's incident report. Neighbors in the area said they'd had problems with these dogs before, but a deputy couldn't find their owner. Then, about 5 p.m. on Boulder Drive in New Port Richey, a 36-year-old man was walking near his home when two pit bulls escaped from a nearby yard and ran toward him. One bit him twice on the left leg. The dogs' fate was not clear Tuesday.

Lock car doors to prevent theft

Twenty-six auto burglaries were reported in several clusters around the city between Dec. 3 and Dec. 20, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. The thieves made off with cash, radios, cell phones and digital cameras. About one-third of the reports listed an 18-year-old white male as suspect. He is 5 feet 11 to 6 feet, 150 pounds. Areas of concentration include Autumn Palm Tree Acres, Betmar Acres, Southern Charm Mobile Home Park and Westwood Village. In many of the cases, the thief simply tried the door handle and helped himself. Sheriff's spokesman Doug Tobin said the best defense is to lock the doors.

why are you people constantly bad mouthing pit bull,s? i think alot of people base their fears on misinformation about the breed, and people probably jealous, because dogs had all their teeth.

When sighted these animals should be taken to their owner or put to sleep, by animal control. People like puppies not dogs. Owners of any animals, who let them run free shall fined and punished! Love your pet, keep it with YOU! Spay & nueter your pet

Maybe the best defense is to sit in your yard in a dark corner and wait for this mutant to show up and steal something from your car. Then you can give him one more thing ...... a base ball bat across the forehead.

lock doors to prevent theft? what a great idea. never wouldve thought of that myself. luckily we have a sheriffs spokesman, probably making $40,000 a year to give us these helpfull hints

I am so SICK of hearing about pit bull attacks. My dog was attacked by an unleashed beagle, jack russel, lab, and unknown breed. The police said to call only if it's an emergency. I guess I didn't report the right breed being unleashed.

"Cows, man attacked by pitt bull packs" if this man shot the dogs imagine how he would be the bad guy. PETA would be up in arms. Hunt the pack and kill them, they are a danger and a menace
