Oldsmar Christian pulls away for victory
Oldsmar (8-4) pulled away for a 62-49 win Thursday in the Chase Memorial Invitational.

HUDSON - Oldsmar Christian got a scare as Jesuit (3-8) went on a 10-2 run in the third quarter to take a 33-31 lead Thursday in the Chase Memorial Invitational.
But Oldsmar (8-4) pulled away for a 62-49 win behind David Minaya and Chris Perez, who had 17 and 16 points, respectively.
East Lake, despite holding No. 5- ranked Wharton to 23 first-half points for the second time in a week, fell 51-43. Matt Moore and Austin Geiger scored 11 and 10, respectively, for the Eagles (5-7).
St. Petersburg Catholic dominated Cape Coral 56-37. The Barons (9-1) were led by guard Tracy Parks, who had a game-high 23 points, going 5-of-14 from 3-point range, and six assists. Junior Darren Hess scored 10. The Seahawks (1-8) were led by senior forward Chris Moore, who scored 15.
Lakewood rallies, wins
OCALA - Lakewood kept the pressure on Orlando Dr. Phillips throughout their quarterfinal in the Kingdom of the Sun tournament, and were rewarded with a huge comeback win.
The Spartans (11-1), No. 3 in Class 5A, rallied from a 17-point, first-half deficit and won 69-66 .
Anthony Dorsey scored 22 to lead Lakewood, which faces either defending tournament champion Decatur (Ga.) Columbia or Gainesville's The Rock in the semifinals at 8:30 tonight.
Lakewood trailed 31-14 with six minutes left in the first half, but closed within four by halftime. Dorsey's dunk during a 13-0 run gave the Spartans a 43-42 lead with 4:36 left in the third.
Ed Nixon made two free throws with 5.1 seconds to ice it.
