Frank Bierwiler Jr., 67, former public information officer for the Sheriff's Office and founder of DayStar Hope Center, Jan. 7. Margaret "Weenie" Rogers Ghiotto, 89, Brooksville civic activist and owner of Rogers' Christmas House Village, Feb. 16. Charlotte Murrin, 75, founder of Miss Charlotte's Suzuki Strings, March 20. Marine Corps Sgt. Lea R. Mills, 21, the first Hernando County resident to die in the war in Iraq when he was killed in a roadside blast in Al Anbar province, April 28. Glenn Hurst, 50, State Attorney's Office investigator, April 29. Michael "Bear" Taliferro, 45, movie and television actor who grew up in Brooksville, May 19. Debra Windeler, 40, mother of 9-year-old quadruplets, June 30. Lucile Ayers, 95, longtime teacher in rural Hernando schools, Aug. 8. Dr. Arya Moti, 36, Brooksville orthopedist who volunteered with the Tampa Bay Storm, Aug. 17. Dr. Sadras Shanmugham, 58, doctor of pulmonary medicine, critical care and internal medicine, Sept. 6. Stephen Fickett Jr., 84, one of the founders of the Hernando chapter of the Audubon Society, Sept. 7. George Koprowski, 67, actor in community theater who died during a performance of Guys and Dolls at Stage West Community Playhouse, Nov. 2. Dave Weinman, 80, former chairman of the Hernando Fine Arts Council, Dec. 3.
