Watercolor Art Demonstration: Frank Bolock will give a free demonstration of watercolor painting at the Life Enrichment Center, 9704 N Boulevard, from 1 to 3 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. USF Osher Open House: Learn about the Arts and Science Study Groups and Basic Advanced Computer Classes for older adults. 'Best Friends' Book Collection: The public is asked to donate new or used best-sellers. The program, a partnership including Barnes & Noble Booksellers, the Friends of the Library of Tampa-Hillsborough County and Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Libraries, teamed up to encourage the public to donate books to the library. The goal is to increase the number of best-sellers on the shelves in Tampa-Hillsborough County public libraries. Anime Video: Teens are invited to attend the program to learn how to create an anime video using Microsoft Movie Maker. Wellness seminars

Wellness Seminars: The smoking cessation seminar will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at University Community Hospital, 3100 E Fletcher Ave. The weight-reduction seminar will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 9. The first 45 minutes of each session is a free orientation. If participants feel comfortable with the program, they can continue for a one-time fee of $69 per program. The fee includes a hypnotic session, behavior modification booklet, home reinforcement audiocassette tape (CDs are available) and unlimited free repetition of the hypnosis, if needed.
