This audio is an excerpt of Citrus County detectives' interview with John Couey on March 17, 2005. In the first clip, Couey describes previous sexual offenses and sexual abuse he witnessed as a child. When a detective asks him if he'd take a lie detector test, Couey asks for a lawyer. The interrogation continued, a fact being used in Couey's defense.
In the second clip, Couey describes the rape and murder of 9-year-old Jessica Lunsford. WARNING: Some portions of this audio contain profanity; others are graphic in nature and may be disturbing to hear.
