Jan. 13 deadline Friday: The Beverly Hills Woman's Club will host a trip to Tampa Bay Downs for live horse racing. The cost is $40 and includes a luxury bus, reserved indoor clubhouse seats and a winner's circle buffet. The bus will depart at 9 a.m. from Beverly Hills and returning about 5:30 p.m. Call Rosella Hale at 746-2545.

Jan. 27: The Germania Florida club plans a seven-night cruise to the Western Caribbean abroad the luxury liner Costa Magica out of Fort Lauderdale with stops in Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Ocho Rios and Grand Turks. April 29 (deadline Jan. 29): The West Citrus Elks of Homosassa will sponsor a seven day cruise to the Western Caribbean departing from Tampa on the Carnival Legend. You will visit Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Belize, and Costa Maya, Mexico. Stateroom rates are: inside 4A $715, outside $825, outside balcony $955, prices honored until Oct. 18; includes: port fees and taxes, round trip motor coach transportation to and from the ship, all tips for baggage handlers and bus drivers, an on board private cocktail party, $75 per stateroom onboard credit, one bottle white wine per stateroom, and a Bon Voyage Party. Deposit of $250 required (refundable before final payment which is due Jan. 29). Passports are required for all air and sea travel to and from the Caribbean. Feb. 2-7: St. Scholastica Catholic Church will host a bus trip to Biloxi leaving the parking lot at 6:45 a.m. Cost of the trip is $189 based on double occupancy accommodations and includes hotel, round trip bus transportation and perks. Call Dolly, 527-4449.

Feb. 5-10: The Stepping Out Ministry of First United Methodist Church of Inverness will host a cruise on Carnival's Celebration to Key West and Nassau in the Bahamas out of Jacksonville. The price is has tremendous upgrades and each stateroom will receive a $50 shipboard credit to use on board. Nonmembers welcome. For information, call Carole Fletcher, 860-1932.

Feb. 28: The West Citrus Elks Lodge 2693 will sponsor a tour on the Sterling Casino cruise ship that features all types of gambling tables, 1500 slots and Las Vegas style entertainment. A free, private all day buffet will be available for the people on this Elks tour. The bus will depart from the lodge parking lot at 7:30 a.m. and return about 7:30 p.m., 7890 W Grover Cleveland Blvd., Homosassa. Tickets ($22) can be purchased at the lodge office from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. No refunds after Feb. 21. A valid picture ID is required to board the ship. April 15 (deadline March 13): Crystal River Power Squadron will host a seven-day cruise to Bermuda sailing from Fort Lauderdale. Cruise includes all port charges, all government fees and taxes, round trip deluxe motor coach transportation from Crystal River. Cocktail party at sea. May 7-12: Citrus United Basket will host a fundraising cruise aboard the Carnival Inspiration to the islands of Grand Cayman and Cozumel out of Tampa.
