Will first baby of 2007 arrive in timely fashion?
By TIMES WIRES
Published January 1, 2007
It's the first day of 2007, and the race is on. Who will be the next inductee into a Citrus County club so exclusive that just one member per year is admitted? In other words, who will be the first Citrus baby born in 2007? Devin Michael Hunter couldn't wait to join the club in 2001: The new year was 1 minute old when he came into the world. Then again, last year we had to wait until 12:38 a.m. on Jan. 3 to greet Omarian "Toot" Simmons. About 1,000 babies per year are born in Citrus, so the odds are decent that Master or Miss 2007 will make a timely arrival. Some other inductees: - 2005: Edwin Wilder Linhart, 3:31 a.m. Jan. 1. - 2004: Morgan Lynn Farmer, 9:42 a.m. Jan. 1. - 2003: Corvin Marquis Henry, 1:32 p.m. Jan. 1. Check Tuesday's Citrus Times to see how this year's story turns out. Trash Christmas tree, for free When you're ready to dump holiday trees ...
