Robbin Rawlins tried to intervene when she saw deputies talking to her son outside her home in the 7300 block of Holiday Drive, a Sheriff's Office report said. The deputies were responding to a disturbance, the report said. The 46-year-old mother became disruptive and escalated the situation, deputies say, and was arrested. Then Rawlins' 17-year-old son, Shane, attacked the two deputies, they say. The deputies struck the teen three times with a Taser. The mother and her son were taken to the Hernando jail. Robbin Rawlins was charged with two counts of resisting arrest. Her son was charged with battery of a law enforcement officer.
