Greenside bunker play
Weekly advice from local pros to improve your game.

Favorite local course other than home: Belleair Country Club East Course. No. 14 is one of the prettiest golf holes in Florida. It's a great Donald Ross design. Favorite course nationally: Bethpage Black, N.Y. Was my home course growing up on Long Island. Love the changes they made for the (U.S.) Open. Best golf advice ever received: Stay in the present. Don't think about the previous hole, good or bad. Don't look ahead to the next hole. Your "Greenside bunker play" advice was a bit lacking. In fact there was no advice at all other than "stay in the present". Should I no longer dread bunkers now that you've offered me that expert advice? I didn't realize it could be this easy!
