A fairy tale takes center stage

Vladimir Vasiliev, one-time star dancer and artistic director of the Bolshoi Ballet, choreographed Cinderella for the U.S. tour of the State Ballet Theatre of Russia. The company includes 56 dancers with a 50-piece orchestra to play the Prokofiev score. The State Ballet Theatre of Russia is the touring name of the Voronezh State Theatre of Opera and Ballet, established in 1961 in central Russia.
