PRAYER RETREAT: Our Lady of Grace, 6 Roosevelt Blvd., will host a Contemplative Prayer retreat with the Rev. Bill Sheehan Jan. 15-17. The workshops are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday with a private question-and-answer session after each workshop; there is a Mass at 8 a.m. Wednesday. Call 746-2144. BABY SHOWER FOR JESUS: As a part of Advent celebration last month, parishioners from St. Benedict Catholic Church had a "Baby Shower for Jesus." Members brought new receiving blankets, representing the swaddling clothes of baby Jesus, that were divided between the two county hospitals for use with infants. GAITHER TOUR: Order tickets now to see the Bill Gaither Homecoming "Give It Away Tour 2007" at 6 p.m. Jan. 27 at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa. The Gaither Vocal Band will perform throughout the concert along with other Southern Gospel artists. The trip will include round-trip transportation in a luxury motor coach and a plaza level ticket to the concert. Tickets are $66 per person and are available at Tally Ho Vacations by calling 860-2805. JAVA AND JESUS: Holy Grounds Cafe, a ministry of Inverness Vineyard Christian Fellowship, is open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 to 10 a.m. Sundays for the public to gather for Barnie's Coffee and a variety of muffins and biscotti for a small fee. The church is at 960 S Highway 41. Call 726-1480. COME BE REVIVED: Bethel Baptist Church, 2289 N McGee Drive, Hernando, will host revival meetings with evangelist Dan Hawtree at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and at 10 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday. CHOW DOWN FOR MISSIONS: First United Methodist Church of Dunnellon, 21501 W Highway 40, is hosting a spaghetti dinner with seatings at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 13. The cost is a $5 donation for adults ($6 at the door) and $3 for children 10 and under. The meal is "all you can eat." For tickets, call (352) 489-4026. Proceeds will be used for mission projects.
