ATTORNEYS TO GIVE HELP ON LIVING WILLS

Do you have a living will? If you don't and want one, the Clearwater Bar Association will make information and forms on living wills available from noon to 6 p.m. Jan. 23 at Clearwater's Countryside Library, 2741 State Road 580. No reservations are required, and assistance will be provided by volunteer lawyers first-come, first-served. A living will gives people a chance to make clear what their wishes are for end-of-life medical care. Forms also are available on the Florida Bar's Web site at www.flabar.org.

Kiosks available for paying fines

Maybe the only thing worse than paying a fine is waiting in line to hand over the money. Starting today, you might not have to. Clerk of the Circuit Court Ken Burke is introducing payment kiosks for fines in misdemeanor and felony cases, municipal and county ordinances, and boating and traffic citations. The kiosks will be at the clerk's North County and Tyrone branches at 29582 U.S. 19 N in Clearwater and 1800 66th St. N, St. Petersburg. You can pay fines, plus a 3.5 percent service charge, with a debit or credit card or by using a checking account number to pay by electronic check. You also can pay fines by calling (727) 464-4846 or visiting https://pubtitles.co.pinellas.fl.us/credit/accountspayable/CourtChargeIntro.jsp?cookieexists=false&x=10&y=9. To learn more, call the branches at 464-8700 in Clearwater, 582-7681 in St. Petersburg or the clerk's office at 464-7000.

Hip-hop dance scheduled Friday

Kids Who Care, a group formed mostly by clients of the Homeless Emergency Project, is holding a chaperoned dance Friday from 7 to 10 p.m. The theme is hip-hop and respect. Youths 8 to 16 are invited to come to the HEP community center at 1260 Engman St. The hip-hop dance team with St. Petersburg's Soulful Arts Academy will teach moves. The dance also will feature a DJ, drinks and food. Donations of $5 will be taken at the door with all proceeds going to the Kids Who Care fund to help pay dental bills for the uninsured. Questions? Contact HEP development director Libby Stone at (727) 442-9041.

Program to teach about citrus care

Learn how to plant and care for oranges, grapefruit and other citrus with Cindy Peacock of the Pinellas County Cooperative Extension Service from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Brooker Creek Preserve Environmental Education Center, 3940 Keystone Road. The program is recommended for adults. It is free, and preregistration is appreciated. Call (727) 453-6800.
