TAMPA Man accused of decade of abuse Police say a 53-year-old North Tampa man sexually abused a girl multiple times over a decade. Terry A. Nix of 216 W Jean St. was booked into the Hillsborough County jail just after midnight Tuesday on 10 counts of capital sexual battery on a victim less than 12 years old, jail records show. Nix, who does computer work for a pharmaceutical company, sexually abused a girl from the time she was 8 until she was 18, police say. The victim told police about the abuses, and Nix was arrested after an undercover investigation. Nix ultimately admitted to sexually abusing two girls, police say. Nix knew both victims, whose identities were withheld because of the nature of the charges. Nix was held Tuesday without bail. Ohio charges man with molestation Police have arrested a 43-year-old Tampa man, accusing him of molesting a 13-year-old family member while vacationing in Ohio over the holidays. Scott Anthony Ronan of 3813 El Prado Blvd. faces an Ohio criminal charge of gross sexual imposition, a charge comparable to Florida's lewd and lascivious charge, according to Tampa police. Ronan was arrested Tuesday on a warrant from Ohio after authorities say he molested a teen in Knox County while he was in Ohio for Christmas. He was arrested at 5002 W Waters Ave., and held at the Hillsborough County jail. NEW PORT RICHEY Tasered, sprayed suspect still fights Sheriff's deputies questioned Paul Anthony Esken on Monday afternoon about an incident involving indecent exposure. He wasn't charged with that. If he had not hit the deputies, he might have gone free. According to their reports, Esken struck them repeatedly during the interview. They stunned him at close range with a Taser and hit him with two bursts of pepper spray, but he kept fighting. He briefly wrestled the Taser away from a deputy before he was handcuffed. Esken, 41, of 1930 Abacus Road, Holiday, was charged with depriving an officer of means of protection, two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and two counts of resisting an officer with violence. He was held Tuesday at the Land O'Lakes Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
