Palace Grand adds 3 more Mason shows

The Palace Grand has added three shows by award-winning comic Jackie Mason on Feb. 19, 20 and 21. The originally scheduled shows on Feb. 13, 14 and 15 have sold out, according to the Palace Grand box office. The Palace Grand is at 275 Della Court (off U.S. 19 a quarter-mile north of the Pasco-Hernando border). Doors open at 6 p.m.; dinner is at 6:30 p.m., show at 8 p.m. Dinner and show, $39.95, plus tax and tip. Call 863-7949 in west Pasco; toll-free 1-888-65-7469.

Fundraiser planned for coach's family

Moose Lodge 521, 5214 Mariner Blvd., will have a spaghetti dinner fundraiser Saturday to benefit the family of Frank DiCesare. Dinner will be served from 6 to 8 p.m., followed by music provided by DJ Dave Conrad. A drawing for cash prizes will be at 8:30 p.m. DiCesare died in his sleep Sept. 6, leaving behind his wife, Laura, and three young children, Sean, Cory and Ryan. The Spring Hill resident was a West Hernando Little League coach and played in the Hernando County Family YMCA's men's softball league. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12. Bash, car show coming Saturday The Hernando County Fine Arts Council's monthly Bandshell Bash and the Brooksville Cruise-In Car Show will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hernando Park in downtown Brooksville. Fort Dade Avenue from the Main Street/Howell Avenue intersection to Magnolia Avenue will be closed. Call Brian Brijbag at 796-3734.

Yard sale will benefit sanctuary Beta Sigma Phi Chapter Alpha Gamma Lambda will have a yard sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 4273 Everett Ave. Beta Sigma Phi is a nonprofit organization with chapters throughout the country and in many other countries. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Survival Outreach Sanctuary in Masaryktown. Leftover items will be donated to the Dawn Center. Barbara Kidder, a candidate for superintendent of the Hernando County schools, is a former assistant principal of Fox Chapel Middle School. The school was misidentified in a Wednesday story.
