Siezure causes I-75 hit-and-run, patrol says

TAMPA A driver who was having a seizure collided with another car and a guardrail Wednesday afternoon while driving north on Interstate 275 and on to Interstate 75 into Pasco County. Florida Highway Patrol Lt. A. Pugh said dispatchers received a call about a hit-and-run at 4:41 p.m. at I-275 and Fletcher Avenue. Emergency responders caught up with the motorist at I-75 and State Road 56, and the driver was flown to Tampa General Hospital, he said. The accident caused significant rush-hour traffic backups.
