Bryant Elementary, 356-1645: The next Tools for School Success meeting will be held from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the school, 13910 Nine Eagles Drive. The topic will be dealing with difficult behavior at home and school.

Special group pictures will be taken Wednesday.

The first kindergarten roundup will be 8:45 a.m. Feb. 12 in the multipurpose room. Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2007, to register. Registration packets will be available at the meeting.

A uniform committee meeting will be held Jan. 19.

Citrus Park Elementary, 588-5356: The school's family fun fair has been rescheduled from January until March, with the date and time to be announced.

Freedom High, 558-1185: All-County Honor Chorus rehearsals will be held Thursday and Jan. 19 at the school, 17410 Commerce Park Blvd.

The PTSA is accepting empty laser or ink jet ink cartridges at the front office to be recycled.

Gaither High, 975-7340: The Gaither High School jazz band will host the Dan McMillion Jazz Orchestra in the auditorium, 7 p.m. Jan. 26. Tickets are $10, with an $8 group rate available.

Independent Day School, 961-3087: The school will hold an admissions open house starting at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at 12015 Orange Grove Drive. The open house will give an overview of IDS, its academic curriculum and its fine arts, sports and technology programs.

Financial aid: Hillsborough County Public Schools will hold financial aid nights starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Jefferson High, 4401 Cypress St., and Jan. 23 at Freedom High, 17410 Commerce Park Blvd. Ninth-12th grade students and their parents are invited.

Magnet applications: The application period for magnet programs and school choice has begun and will last through Jan. 26. Students can apply for a magnet school or another school that still has space. Visit www.sdhc.k12.fl.us/choice or call 813 272-4692.

SAT prep: Free SAT preparation classes will be 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Jan. 25 at Sickles High, 7950 Gunn Highway, and Freedom High, 17410 Commerce Park Blvd., and from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays through Jan. 20 at Leto High, 4409 W Sligh Ave.; Jefferson High, 4401 Cypress St., and Gaither High, 16200 N Dale Mabry Highway.
