PRAYER RETREAT: Our Lady of Grace, 6 Roosevelt Blvd., will host a contemplative prayer retreat with the Rev. Bill Sheehan from Monday through Wednesday. RUMMAGE AND PASTRY: The St. Michael's Greek Orthodox Church Ladies Philoptochos annual rummage and Greek pastry sale will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 27. The church is at 4705 W Gulf to Lake Highway, Lecanto.

WORLD RELIGION DAY: It will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Jan. 21 at Unity Church of Citrus County, 2628 W Woodview Lane, Beverly Hills. The event is sponsored by the Baha'i Community and the Interfaith Council. Program speakers will represent several different faiths. A question-and-answer period is afterward. Gisela Robles, from the Dominican Republic, will perform musical selections.

NEW CHURCH CELEBRATION: First Baptist of Inverness will host a celebration and dedication of its new church with an open house from noon to 4, dinner at 5 and service at 6 p.m. on Jan. 20. The next day, Jan. 21, there will be a 9 a.m. worship celebration, 10:30 Sunday school, noon dinner on the grounds and 2 p.m. dedication service with special guests. All are invited. 'MR. DRAMA': Trevor Thomas will perform at 6 p.m. Jan. 27 at Cornerstone Baptist, 1005 Hillside Court, Inverness. Thomas combines music, monologues, poems, sketches and mime to create an unforgettable worship experience for the believer and a picture of salvation for the lost. Call 726-7335.

SPAGHETTI DINNER: First United Methodist Church of Dunnellon, 21501 W Highway 40, is hosting an "all you can eat" spaghetti dinner with seatings at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. today. THRIFT SHOP: The thrift shop of First United Methodist Church of Homosassa seeks donations of high-quality goods, including housewares, toys, small appliances, books and clothing. Hours for the shop are 9 a.m. to noon Saturday and Wednesday. The church is at 8831 W Bradshaw St. Call 628-4083.
