When/where: 6; Alexander Memorial Coliseum, Atlanta TV/radio: ESPNU; 1470-AM Records: FSU 12-4, 0-2 ACC; Georgia Tech 12-4, 1-2 Notable: The new year hasn't started well for the Seminoles, who have lost to Clemson and North Carolina in their past two games and desperately need an ACC win. They haven't started 0-3 in the league since the 2000-01 season. ... The Yellow Jackets, second in the league in scoring (83.3 points), are coming off a huge win against Duke. ... Georgia Tech freshmen Thaddeus Young and Javaris Crittenton are averaging a combined 27.8 points and 9.1 rebounds. Another talented freshman, Zach Peacock, who missed the Duke game (suspension for flagrant foul) and is wearing a protective mask after fracturing his right cheekbone Dec. 30, is expected to play. ... FSU leads the series 29-25.
