Tampa Bay Water plans to install a 3-foot-wide water pipe connecting a regional water pipeline to Hillsborough County's water plant near Fawn Ridge. The question is where the 21/2-mile connection should run.

An open house will be held Thursday night so people can see the five potential routes under consideration. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. at Sickles High, 7950 Gunn Highway. A meeting begins at 6 p.m.

Each of the five routes would take the pipe past the Westfield Citrus Park mall or Citrus Park Plaza and connect it to the water system just west of the Veterans Expressway. If a route is chosen this year, construction would begin early in 2009, according to Tampa Bay Water.

A map of the proposed routes is available at www.tampabaywater.org.
