THE FLORIDA HOUSE AND SENATE PASSED BILLS WEDNESDAY THAT WOULD MAKE SINKHOLE COVERAGE OPTIONAL IN ORDER TO LOWER RATES IN TAMPA BAY AREAS HIT HARD BY CLAIMS. LAWMAKERS MUST STILL IRON OUT DIFFERENCES IN THE DETAILS OF THE BILLS. AFTER AN AFTERNOON OF HAGGLING, THE HOUSE ADDED A REQUIREMENT THAT POLICYHOLDERS BE NOTIFIED IN BOLD TYPE THAT THEIR INSURANCE POLICIES LACK SINKHOLE COVERAGE AND THAT THE COVERAGE IS OFFERED. ONLY COLLAPSES OF HOMES WOULD BE COVERED IN BASIC INSURANCE POLICIES. ONCE DIFFERENCES ARE FIXED, THE FULL LEGISLATURE MUST APPROVE THE MEASURES URGED BY PASCO COUNTY LAWMAKERS, WHICH ARE PART OF LARGER PACKAGES OF INSURANCE BILLS.

This sink hole bussiness is crasy, the city knew year's ago as did the builders that it would all go under some day, for covering swap land up to build, it washes away sand under neath every day, more and more! Soon the whole county will be under

It is the cit's fault to have given builders permits to cover up swamp land to build home's on, they knew somedayu the weight would not hold all the housing , I would get a pertion going snd go after the city for allowing home's to be built on swamp
