Truck show all about big

See huge trucks with huge tires make a huge amount of noise as they smash and jump other cars and bounce and skip around a ready-made track in Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Saturday at Monster Jam.

It's one of the largest stadium monster truck events in the country, with racing, freestyle and the ever-popular spectacle of salvaged cars smashed into smithereens. The pumped-up trucks stand 11 feet tall, burn 2.5 gallons of methanol in a 250-foot run and can fly up to 25 feet in the air.

A Pit Party runs from 2:30 to 5:15 p.m., so fans can get autographs from drivers and pictures with their favorite trucks, including Afterburner, Black Smith and Grave Digger. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Just one piece of advice: Bring earplugs.

Limited seats are available for $15 through Ticketmaster. Standing room only seats will be available at the stadium box office beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.
