The show itself is at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge. The top 10 acts will perform at that show. Bring instruments, tapes or discs to the audition. No entry fee.

The Emmy Award-winning actor uses Einstein's own words to depict his scientific work, philosophical ideas and personal idiosyncrasies. Paintings of European scenes by Karen L. Hayne will be exhibited Feb. 1-27 in the UpStairs Gallery at the Pasco Arts Council's art center, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. A reception will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Feb. 3. Free.

The program includes the Carpenters' Close to You, Hello, Dolly, Strangers in the Night, White Silver Sands, Bibbidy-Bobbidy-Boo, plus marches and an overture. Admission is $2. Parking is free.
